Detailed Description

The Chorus effect was originally designed to simulate several voices, just as if several persons were playing together the same notes, but with a variable delay between them. This is one of the typical effects that you can get with Blue Cat's Chorus.

But this plug-in also enables you to drastically change the original sound and create deep pitch modulation or crazy 'bubbling' effects.

With the additional 'Spread' control on the stereo version, the famous stereo widening and head spinning chorus effects are a few click away.

The generous offering of a full range of time based modulators consists of very basic but powerful and versatile effects. The Blue Cat Chorus for example, is ALWAYS the first one I try for super rich detuning and haywire coloured effects, but at the same time, I find it can throw just the right wisp of mist into a warm string pad. -

Blue Cat Audio's free plugins have had a staple presence in my arsenal since the first time I came across them. Free or not, these plugins maintain a distinct flavour that makes them my absolute go-to plugins when the situation calls for it.

This group of plugins has the added bonus of full automation and MIDI interfacing, and a standardized configuration template that easily melds them into any DAW configuration. They couldn't be easier to use at any experience level, allow very fine incremental adjustments, and are thoroughly optimized for resource consumption. -

Don't be fooled by the price; there's a lot to like in the free bundle. At the top of the list are three great-sounding time-based effects: chorus, phaser, and flanger.[...] Each of these effects is capable of subtle as well as extreme processing (see Web Clips 1 and 2). [...] Of course, the purpose of giving away these plug-ins is to encourage you to buy their more full-featured brethren. But each plug-in is useful, and the frequency analyzer is exceptional. I have the freeware pack [...], I've used them alot and have always been pleased with the results. They do exactly what they are designed to do and I have never had a problem with freezing or crashes when using them. Not CPU hogs either. It's one of those bundles you'd be glad to have in your VST arsenal, IMHO. -
